Means assessment information

Select the Means Assessment link from the Application Summary screen.

CCMS will ask questions regarding your clients financial eligibility for public funding. For example if a client has indicated they are in receipt of a passported benefit a DWP check can be undertaken.

NOTE: If you have previously started the clients Means Assessment the Forward button (pictured below) can be used to skip quickly to the next unanswered question.

If the DWP check is unsuccessful, you can still submit an application so long as you can confirm the receipt of a passported benefit.

NOTE: From 1st April 2013, if the client is in receipt of a passported benefit such as Income Support, the client will also have to provide us with information regarding any capital they may have. Answers provided will prompt CCMS to ask additional questions specific to the clients finances.

Use the Back and Next buttons to navigate through the assessment.

Once you have completed all of the required fields you will be presented with a provisional result of eligibility.

If applicable, the provisional result will also confirm the client’s financial contribution.

NOTE: This is only an Indication and not a final decision.

Based on the answers given, the system will advise what types of evidence will need to be supplied in support of the application.

Ensure the client reads the declaration. The provider must check the box to confirm.

Review the Assessment Summary. To make any changes use the back button to find any relevant questions.

Once the assessment is finished use the complete button to continue.

The Means Assessment is now complete.

If the Means Assessment is ever left incomplete, all answers are retained for 62 days.

You can return to the Means Assessment at any point to continue with the assessment.
