£25000 cost limit

The LAA is now accepting initial costs limits of £25000 under certain proceedings.

For Special Children Act proceedings CCMS will automatically offer £25000 as the default cost limit. For other qualifying proceedings you should request the £25000 limit in the Proceedings and Costs section of the application.

From Proceedings and Costs click the Case Cost Limitation link once you have added all proceedings required.

In the Requested Cost Limitation field overtype the default cost limit that CCMS offers with 25000.00 and click Confirm.

You can then continue with the application as normal.

In the Merits Assessment section you will be asked to justify your additional cost limit. Please use the following wording to justify the increase:

‘We are applying for the new default cost limit.’
