CCMS Provider: CCMS Means and Merits Assessments – A new look and feel

There’s a new look and feel to the means and merits assessments in CCMS. The questions will be presented in a much clearer way, that’s consistent with other government websites. Navigation elements such as Back and Next buttons will be placed more intuitively. The typeface used will be bigger and clearer to read.

Exiting part way through the means and merits assessment
You don’t have to save your answers as you progress through the means and merits assessments. CCMS will tick the questions you’ve already completed in the left-hand navigation panel, and you can use the navigation panel to revisit earlier questions.

If you leave the means or merits assessment incomplete, when you return you’ll be taken straight to the last question you completed, as long as you don’t change anything in the Proceedings and Costs or Opponents and Other Parties sections.

Changing the application after starting the means or merits assessment
We always recommend that you work through the application from the top downwards. Information you provide at the start of the application affects the information CCMS needs to collect later.

If you start but don’t complete the means or merits assessment, then change anything in the Proceedings and Costs or Opponents and Other Parties sections, CCMS will assume that you want to restart the means or merits assessment and will reset the questions back to their initial states.

This applies whether you add, remove or amend anything in the Proceedings and Costs or Opponents and Other Parties sections.

If you start and do complete the means or merits assessment, then change anything in the Proceedings and Costs or Opponents and Other Parties sections, CCMS will retain any answers that aren’t affected by your changes.

Of course, if you add or amend the proceedings, CCMS is likely to need additional
information about those proceedings, so you will need to return to the means or merits assessment to answer those questions.
